Fareed Zakaria (fareedzakaria) Interviewed a “Palestinian” rep. that has played that drama hype language on Israel, like “apartheid”; (never mind the unfair treatment Jewish Israelis often run into as opposed to Israeli Arabs being favored in Israeli courts and police) & excusing Palestinian crimes (including genocidal Hamas that uses Arab civilians to kill Israeli civilians) with the usual “occupation”; of course.

He also lied openly (as Pallywood so well does) about Israelis effort on peace vis-a-vis self destructive Palestinian Muslims.

Why is ethnic cleansing of Jews from areas in Israel (”Palestine”) called a “step towards peace” and Avigdor Lieberman’s platform is called “ethnic cleansing”?

And if “resettling” by Lieberman is described so dramatically as “neo fascism” (for no reason) what do you call (Palestine – Hamas, Hezbollah, Ahmadinejad, etc.) Islamofascism’s blatant call to kill all Jews – plain and simple?

The hype rhetoric ‘Islamic behavior’ not only in their own media where they incite their youths towards Jihad with this “victimhood” & demonization of Israelis mentality, but on international platforms as well, whether on international media or in the UN – besides destroying their own society they fail to understand how they alienate Israelis that would sacrifice even more for any chance of peace.

Those outside of Israel are probably seeing a somewhat different war than we are. In particular, today’s tragic incident in which IDF shelled a school and killed about 28 civilians, will probably be recorded as an unprovoked “massacre” that caused the end of the Gaza operation.

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – A crude rocket fired by Palestinian militants fell short of its target in Israel on Friday, striking a house in the northern Gaza Strip and killing two schoolgirls.

The attack came as Israel sent mixed signals over its plans to respond to continuing Palestinian rocket fire. Israeli defense officials say politicians have approved a large-scale incursion into the territory once rainy conditions clear. But at the same time, Israel appeared receptive to international pressure against an invasion, opening the Gaza border Friday to allow in deliveries of humanitarian aid.

Dear Editor: The authors of the column “Jews need to speak out on abuse of Palestinians” blame Israel for the difficulties facing the residents of Gaza.

One wonders if the authors can imagine what would have happened if, immediately after Israel left the Gaza Strip, all terror activity from there ceased. Which means no rocket launching, no weapons smuggling, no efforts to bomb the border crossing points, no efforts to send suicide murderers into Israel.

Then all the crossing points would have remained open, there would have been free merchandise exchange, thousands of Gazans would have been able to work in Israel, and it would have been possible to travel between the West Bank and Gaza. The Gazan economy would have been much stronger, and the daily life of the citizens would have been much better.

The authors do not tell us that the Palestinians chose to continue with their war of terror. As a result they brought nothing but disaster on their people. They infiltrated into Israel, killing two soldiers and abducting a third. In the last two years, since Israel left the Gaza Strip to the last inch, more than 2,000 Kasam rockets have been fired at Israeli villages and towns.

Like any other country Israel will do its best to protect its citizens.

BILIN, West Bank – In an embarrassing blow to Israel, the Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the state to redraw the route of its West Bank separation barrier near a Palestinian village that has come to symbolize opposition to the enclosure.

Residents of the village of Bilin went to court arguing that the current route, built on village land, kept them from their fields and orchards, which remained on the other side of the barrier. Villagers and their Israeli and foreign supporters have protested at the barrier every Friday for the past 2 1/2 years, routinely sparring with police in clashes that have wounded dozens.

The Israeli government argued that the route was necessary to protect residents of the nearby settlement of Modiin Illit, and completed the section of fence that cut through Bilin’s lands despite the protests.

A three-judge Supreme Court panel unanimously rejected the government’s argument Tuesday, ordering defense planners to change the barrier’s route so it causes less harm to the village’s residents.

“We were not convinced that it is necessary for security-military reasons to retain the current route that passes on Bilin’s lands,” Chief Justice Dorit Beinish wrote in the decision.

The judges specified that “this will require destroying the existing fence in certain places and building a new one,” and ordered the government to come up with a new route in a “reasonable period of time.”

Israel’s Supreme Court has made several such rulings in the past, ordering authorities to move the fence in several parts of the West Bank.

As word of the ruling got out, elated Bilin residents poured out of homes and schools and headed toward the fence. Gathering near several army jeeps, they chanted “We won,” and “They demolished the Berlin wall, we want to demolish the Bilin wall.”

Abdullah Abu Rahma, one of the leaders of the weekly protest, jubilantly honked the horn of his Honda jeep.

“We went to court, hired the best lawyers in Israel and we won,” he said. Abu Rahma termed the ruling “wonderful,” but said villagers would keep fighting until the fence was moved entirely off Bilin’s land.

The Israeli Defense Ministry said in a statement that it would “study the ruling and respect it.”

Israel began building the 425-mile barrier — a combination of concrete walls, fences, trenches and patrol roads — along the West Bank in 2002, saying it was a necessary weapon in its war against Palestinian suicide bombers. But the barrier juts into West Bank territory, provoking Palestinian claims that Israel is using security arguments to mask a land grab.
