Canada Abandons UN Racism Conference [which is hijacked by Arab racism & Islamic bigotry ‘lobby’]

OTTAWA (AP) — Canada has withdrawn its support for a U.N. anti-racism conference scheduled to take place in South Africa next year after deeming it to be anti-Israel, a government official said Wednesday.

The so-called Durban II conference “has gone completely off the rails” and Canada wants no part of it, said Jason Kenney, Canada’s secretary of state for multiculturalism and Canadian identity.

“We’ll attend any conference that is opposed to racism and intolerance, not those that actually promote racism and intolerance,” he said.

Kenney said that during the 2001 World Conference Against Racism in Durban, Arab and Muslim countries criticized Israel, prompting Israel and the United States to walk out in protest. But he added that Canada remained to speak up for Israel.

The U.N. declined to comment directly on Canada pulling out of the conference, but U.N. spokeswoman Marie Okabe said “racism is too important an issue for member states not to work out their differences.”

Kenney said his government was left with no choice but to abandon the process, expressing displeasure with Libya elected to chair the gathering, Cuba appointed vice-chair, and Iran named to the organizing committee.

“This (Iran) is a country whose government has publicly expressed its desire to eliminate the only Jewish country in the world,” he said.

Canada Calls UN Led Anti-Racism Conference a ‘Gong Show’ of Hatred
The United Nations held its first World Conference Against Racism in Durban way back in 2001. That conference was marred by anti-Semitic bigotry

Exposing the anti-Semitism of Durban II

By PAUL SCHNEIDEREIT
Tue. Jan 29 – 4:47 AM
HYPOCRISY, the popular 19th-century American journalist and satirist Ambrose Bierce once observed, could be defined as “prejudice with a halo.”

As false halos go, there are few bigger – or shinier, in that cheap, glittery way – than the one now swaying precariously over the United Nations’ so-called Human Rights Council. Since the council was formed as part of former secretary-general Kofi Annan’s “UN reform” a few years back, the world’s supposed watchdog for violations of human rights has been able to officially condemn just one country for abuses of those rights: Israel.

If that sounds familiar – you’re right, it is. The council’s disgraced predecessor, the equally misnamed UN human rights commission, also chose to devote itself, one might say religiously, to Israel’s alleged infractions of human rights in its interminable conflict with the Palestinians.

Now, these human rights bodies have every right to investigate Israel’s behaviour and, when appropriate, rebuke the Jewish state for actions going beyond being reasonable measures of self-defence. But to focus almost exclusively on Israel, while ignoring – or downplaying the seriousness of – all other incidents elsewhere in the world, including what’s often brutal suppression of people’s human rights, is utterly wrong.

Of course, the fact that the countries which sat as members of the old commission, as well as the nations making up the new council, have often been the very countries that have compiled the most disgraceful human rights records means we are discussing hypocrisy being practised at a very high level (to paraphrase Bierce, where the angels sing).

Which brings us to the news the UN’s Human Rights Council is now busy planning a second UN conference on racism in 2009, to be held, as the first one was in 2001, in Durban, South Africa. Who’s in charge of the planning? Two countries with among the most appalling human rights records on the planet: Libya and Iran.

For anyone who’s forgotten what happened in Durban six-and-a-half years ago, that so-called conference on ending racism in the world witnessed demonstrations of virulent anti-Semitism directed against both Israel specifically and Jews in general. One example of many: Copies of the so-called Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a well-documented forgery (most likely created by the Russian czar’s police) that purports to be the secret plans for a Jewish world takeover, were openly sold within the conference area.

Equally repulsive was the canard – put forward forcefully in Durban in 2001 – that Western nations had a responsibility to pay hefty reparations to Africa to atone for their role in the transatlantic slavery trade. That, however, ignores several facts.

Some Africans themselves were complicit in that trade. Slavery itself (though the transatlantic trade was ended by the British in the early 19th century) was not outlawed in a number of African states until the latter part of the 20th century (Mauritania, for example, banned slavery in 1981 but only criminalized it in 2007). Experts believe today that some 27 million people worldwide (many in African countries, such as Niger) are in some form of human bondage. Saudi Arabia, where black slaves were sold well into the 20th century, only outlawed slavery in 1962.

The U.S. and Israeli delegations, to their credit, walked out of the Durban conference in disgust midway through; Canada, though critical of what transpired, stayed.

With Libya and Iran at the helm for Durban II, we know what to expect – more anti-Semitism, this time more explicitly ingrained in the conference’s agenda. In December, 41 countries in the UN General Assembly, including Canada, voted against $6.8 million US in funding for the conference, to protest the anti-Semitic themes emerging in planning for the event. The measure, backed by Arab countries and supporters, however, easily passed. So last week, Canada exercised some true international moral leadership, becoming the first nation in the world to announce it would not attend the conference.

The government’s secretary of state for multiculturalism, Jason Kenney, told reporters Canada wanted no part of a Durban conference that would promote, not combat, racism.

Good for the Tories. We should refuse to take part in this sham. That so many in the world continue to promote hatred against Jews is despicable. To do so under the banner of the UN, founded to promote world peace, and the auspices of that body’s “human rights” council, is Orwellian.

Hopefully, Canada will soon be joined by other countries which honestly value human rights, leaving the cesspool that will be Durban II to those with tarnished halos and no sense of shame.

Obama: Israel was forced to close Gaza

The letter from the Senator to the Ambassador speaks for itself:Dear Ambassador Khalilzad,

I understand that today the UN Security Council met regarding the situation in Gaza, and that a resolution or statement could be forthcoming from the Council in short order.

I urge you to ensure that the Security Council issue no statement and pass no resolution on this matter that does not fully condenm the rocket assault Hamas has been conducting on civilians in southern Israel…

All of us are concerned about the impact of closed border crossings on Palestinian families. However, we have to understand why Israel is forced to do this… Israel has the right to respond while seeking to minimize any impact on civilians.

The Security Council should clearly and unequivocally condemn the rocket attacks… If it cannot bring itself to make these common sense points, I urge you to ensure that it does not speak at all.

Sincerely,

Barack Obama
United States Senator

Hamas, Gaza, Iran – News Censorship By PR, Terror, Murder

January 28, 2008

Hamas, Gaza, Iran – News Censorship By PR, Terror, Murder

By Joel Leyden
Israel News Agency

Jerusalem, Israel —– January 24, 2008 ……. Nowhere can one find democracy to be more alive, more vibrant than in the Fourth Estate. A few years after the French Revolution, Edmund Burke, looking up at the Press Gallery of the House of Commons, said, ‘Yonder sits the Fourth Estate, and they are more important than them all.’

The Fourth Estate are working journalists. Whether it be print journalism, broadcast journalism or Internet journalism, the Fourth Estate both informs and keeps in check the First Estate – clergy, the Second Estate – nobility, for the enlightenment and protection of the Third Estate – commoners.

It has always been the ultimate tool of checks and balances.
A recent historical example was the Watergate Affair where Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein through intensive investigative journalism brought down US President Richard Nixon, forcing him to resign in disgrace.

Today one can find the Fourth Estate in action in both Israel and Hamas occupied Gaza. But the distinction and size between working in Gaza and Israel is no different than the width of the Atlantic Ocean. In Israel, the Fourth Estate is allowed access to governmental, commercial and religious affairs. Israel’s government-appointed Winograd Commission of inquiry into the Second Lebanon War and its targeting of the IDF, the Israel Ministry of Security and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert releases its finding to both the domestic and global media without missing a heartbeat.

But the story is quite different in Hamas occupied Gaza. Hamas, a terror led and Iran fueled organization which qualifies as a First Estate entity does not allow free speech. If one cares to express themselves against Hamas, the penalty is either a bullet through the head, a beheading or a hanging. But where it really gets scary is when Hamas points their guns at journalists.

Now we have the Islamic First Estate attempting to control the Fourth Estate, not by blackmail, fraud or even public relations. But rather through the blatant use of terrorism – the murder or attempted murder of innocent civilians. Recently, a TV camera crew from Israel came under both sniper fire and Qassam rocket attacks by Hamas as they were investigating the Hamas sniper murder of a farm worker on the other side of Gaza.

The incident was fully documented and filmed.

Carlos Andres Chavez, a 20-year-old volunteer from Ecuador, was killed after he was shot by a Palestinian sniper from within the Gaza Strip as he was working in the fields of the Ein Hashlosha kibbutz located near the coastal territory.

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, took responsibility for the murder.

The murder and beheading of American journalist and Wall Street reporter Daniel Pearl in Karachi, Pakistan by Islamic terrorists highlights another recent incident at intimidation by Islamic terrorists. It is believed that Al Qaeda was responsible for this murder.

Iran has also acknowledged that a Canada – Iran photojournalist was beaten to death after her arrest outside a prison in Tehran. Iran Vice President Ali Abtahi said Zahra Kazemi died “of a brain hemorrhage resulting from beatings”. Kazemi, 54, was detained on 23 June for taking pictures of Tehran’s Evin prison. She was later pronounced dead after falling into a coma

And according to Human Rights Watch, after testifying to a US presidential commission about their torture during detention, a group of Iran journalists have received death threats from judicial officials under Tehran chief prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi.

“We want the Iran government to know that the world is watching what happens to these young journalists. The Iranian government is responsible for their safety,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, executive director of Middle East and North Africa Division at Human Rights Watch. “The Iranian authorities should be protecting citizens who testify before presidential commissions instead of sending them death threats.”

Reporters Without Borders condemned the fatal shooting in Baghdad of Iraq TV journalist Liqaa Abdul-Razzaq in what “once again bears the hallmarks of an execution.” An interpreter and the driver of the taxi she was travelling in were also killed in the same shooting, while a woman friend was wounded.

“We are outraged by what appears to have been a targeted killing designed to intimidate the entire press and we call on the authorities to carry out a rapid and thorough investigation to identify those responsible and prevent this kind of tragedy continuing,” the organization said.

It also reiterated the principle that “journalists are neutral observers whose work must be protected and respected in order to ensure that news reporting is as free and thorough as possible.”

But Hamas has little if any respect for journalists. If anything, journalists are used solely as a PR tool and provided with misinformation with headlines that appear in such global newspapers as the Belfast Telegraph and The Independent: “The poor and the sick suffer as Israel cuts power to Gaza.”

Israel never cut power to Gaza. Hamas did. And the power which was severed was limited to Northern Gaza from where the Kassam rockets are launched daily slamming into the town of Sderot, Israel. As part of its propaganda machine Hamas shut down Gaza’s only power grid last week in protest of Israel’s blockade.

Hamas then broadcast images of children in a dark Gaza City, holding candles and portraying Israel as the aggressor.

How could Hamas broadcast pictures of children holding candles in Gaza if there was no electricity?

“We’re continuing to supply the people of Gaza with electricity despite the overload for electricity in Israel and despite the fact that Israel residents and Electric Company workers that are being sent to Gaza vicinity communities are under threat from Qassam rockets,” said Israeli Electric Company (IEC) workers’ committee chairman Miko Zarfati.

Several Israel electrical workers have been injured in rocket attacks in recent years and like farmers and others working near the Gaza fence, have been most recently threatened by sniper fire.

So as the democratic, free media in Israel attacks Ehud Olmert and others for their actions in Lebanon, as the democratic press in Israel takes the IDF to task for occasionally ignoring the needs of innocent Palestinians at defensive, security checkpoints, Hamas does not criticize it merely silences international reporters by bullets.

Just ask a group of international journalists at the Gaza – Israel border crossing of Erez, whose cars were sprayed by bullets two weeks ago by Hamas snipers.

If Israeli soldiers should ever hit and injure a journalist, it is never by intent. Either the journalist was not wearing clothing to identify himself as a journalist, did not inform the IDF that he or she was in the area or as in war time – the journalist was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is a risk that journalists take to get the story out. The ultimate sacrifice by the Fourth Estate for the many in the Third Estate. But the murders and kidnappings of foreign journalists by Islamic terrorists, by Hamas, al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Syria and Iran and are well planned events to silence those who dare to speak up against Islam. Iran’s extreme Revolutionary Guards have maintained the death sentence on British author Salman Rushdie is still valid – 19 years after it was issued.

The military organization, loyal to Iran’s supreme leader, said the order was “irrevocable”, on the eve of the anniversary of the 1989 fatwa. The order was issued after publication of Rushdie’s novel “The Satanic Verses”, condemned as blasphemous.

This is just one of the many basic and fundamental differences between Hamas occupied Gaza and a small, democratic and free nation called Israel. But yet the Belfast Telegraph, the Independent, The LA Times, AFP, The Times and many other Western news media outlets chose to ignore these hard and documented facts as they continue to misinform and incite their readers against Israel. A nation which unilaterally left Gaza in a move for peace, but yet their innocent citizens and working journalists are still under attack by Hamas Kassam rockets and terror sniper fire.

The Fourth Estate has become a target in the Middle East and in distorting the news from time to time lends some credibility to those who target them. But yet another distinction between Hamas, Iran and Israel is that Israel may revoke a government issued press card, but Hamas will revoke one’s life.

Google news and the hate sites by Islamic radicals: such as “uruknet”

Google’s news and the hate sites by Islamic radicals: such as “uruknet”
Can anyone explain to me how did such a — pro Hamas terror and anti Israel hate — site manage to be bumped at GoogleNews? One of the typical examples of this crazy site’s language and “credibility” is such a title (in 2007) “Israelis enjoy torturing the Palestinians”.

No further explanation is really needed, it is against Fatah, it backs the GENOCIDE party of Hamas all the way as “martyrs” and presents its crimes against humanity — of using its civilians as pawns, especially their kids — as “heroic”.

Here’s a typical quote from this “credible news” channel: (January 4, 2008) Hamas: Israel expedites steps to destroy the Aqsa Mosque.

I know, you are laughing right? but point is, this is being seen by gullible surfers as well, exposed to this anti Israel bigotry by those Islamists fascists.

The real question is of course what’s Google’s criteria as a “news” source, it’s bad enough Al Jazeera is often hidden as a “news” & “opinion” fountain.

“Palestinians” are starving (only) for attention & BBC’s source in M.E. is a Hamas blogger

January 25, 2008

“Palestinians” are starving (only) for attention & BBC’s source in M.E. is a Hamas blogger

Un-credible BBC’s source is a
(terrorists’) Hamas blogger

The outrageous BBC excited adhering to a Hamas-nick
blogger and pondering responsible Israel’s foreign ministry

Though the BBC’s Arabist reporting is old news, once in a
while they have to hear that ordinary people don’t buy their “objective”
journalism.

January 23, 2008 [11:30 AM GMT] the anchor [“world updates”]
first interviews in an exciting (almost childish like)  tone a Rafah
blogger (wow! What a source) that “whines” about “Palestinians” that —
supposedly — are rushing out to buy “food”, and that they are just trying to
break the “siege” as they LOVE to call it.

Then this low life  “journalist” ponders the Israeli
foreign ministry representative that ‘starving’ the population in Gaza doesn’t
work to halt the rockets attack against Israel, (you can almost hear how
the BBC journalist does want the missiles to continue to target Israeli
children), the Israeli FM asks “Where do you get the information about starving
from”? We are monitoring the situation and DO allow the necessary supply the
“Palestinians” need to survive.

Then the hypocritical journalist suddenly puts up a silly naiive
little face, “proposes” that:“only a political solution is the answer”
(since when are BBC “evenhanded” reporters, diplomats and politicians all of a
sudden?), as if the Gaza “Palestinians” want a “political solution”, which
is why they elected the Hamas terror organization that doesn’t recognize
non Muslims equal rights, or Jews’ right to exist, bend on self destruction and
on destroying ALL of Israel & annihilation.

Whom is the BBC kidding?

As the Israeli FM replied: “Starving?” that’s YOUR assessment,
we know the situation and do monitor it to prevent any humanitarian
breakdown.

I would take an open democratic free press (Israel) word, over a
Jihadi racist entity’s arguments, any time.

Not to mention how many times the “PALLYWOOD” has been lying to
the world, staging up fake “massacres”, editing photos, videos, and just
plain lying about numbers (example, remember the Jenin numbers where 50 was
blown to 500 with added bodies from the cemetery?) and facts (examples, Remember
the Al Dura affair where Arabs killed the Arab boy and pinned it on Israel? or
the Gaza beach family that was killed from a Hamas mine? and so one).

THE ONLY STARVATION THERE’S IN
GAZA IS FOR ATTENTION AND SYMPATHY!

A footnote, who says that the “Palestinians” were breaking into
Egypt to escape a “blockade”, Have you thought that these people are under siege
from their Islamic militant Hamas regime and found an opportunity to “break out”
for a while?

On a more serious note, Who keeps track of the Hamas Islamists
that are known to bring in weapons more than “food” into Gaza (actually to be
true to the word, Islamists’ food is weapons and deadly tools and actions (a
point briefly mentioned by the BBC journalist, only in an argument that Israel’s
action don’t work).

Apparently the BBC is still behind in not learning from the
“Palestinian” fake drama saturation.

Next time you hear a BBC (B.S., Babble, Crap) report, know their
baseless “sources”.

Now follow the trail of the starving-for-attention Palestine’s lie
penetrated into mainstream media.
I just saw CNN reporting without any qualms
that the “Palestinians” are running towards Egypt for food? “Because they are
starving”, and just how does CNN “know” the “Palestinians” are “starving”?
because the (biased bull
crappy) BBC said so, ad how does the BBC
know, because Hamas said so.

The BBC Racism of not seeing Israelis as
human

One of the foundations of the criminal BBC reporting in the middle east is
of course its long anti Israel racism, never do you see any attention to the
Israeli victims of Arabs who initiate all combats, in fact only “Palestinians”
seem ti be human enough to be played in the BBC thirst for “blood” &
excitement for “action” in that conflict, not only now can’t you find any
reports on Israeli frightened children and mothers from vicious “Palestinian”
attacks on them on a daily basis, but they are all noisy and awake at one day of
Israel’s action of blocking all but humanitarian supplies in that entity of
cruelty called Hamas-tan.

Can you imagine that the attacker – “Palestinians” gets a more “human”
story there than the Israeli innocent victims of terror?

As to “Palestinians” running into Egypt, the real question is, Will the
overwhelmingly guilty “Palestinians” finally run, turn away from their elected
Islamic Jihadists fascists and leave some space for some peace, for some
humanity.

ISRAEL VS ARAB – THE WAR OF THE HUMANITARIAN VS THE UN-HUMANITARIAN

January 22, 2008

ISRAEL VS ARAB – THE WAR OF THE HUMANITARIAN VS THE UN-HUMANITARIAN
January 22, 2008
No one has been talking in the mainstream media about the daily “Palestinian” barrage of missiles aimed specifically at Israeli kids, the southern Israel under siege of “Palestinian” occupation, the trembling fear of Israeli women for their children’s safety in Sderot ( Fear and trauma as rockets impact Israeli town), but everyone is up in arms if Israel acts.
No one has been talking in mainstream media as Israel has been successfully eliminating terrorists [with unimaginable efforts in carrying it out] without any damage upon civilians in hundreds of operations, but I bet you, you’ll hear them loud and clear, if its humane precision-tactics fails just once.
Just as no one in the mainstream media talks about the constant Israel vs Arab, as humanitarian vs un-humanitarian war, “Palestinian” and Hezbollah Arabs always try to draw Israel into responding in operations, awaiting cheerfully such responds to play the fake “victim” card, Israel – however – is never happy to carry out any anti terror activities, and when reluctantly it has to go ahead with it, it puts immense efforts to fail Arabs’ desire for mass casualties among its civilians, Israel’s struggle against Arab cruelty on its population is relentless, but never appreciated.
Why is humanitarian Israel still (January 2008) supplying two thirds of fuel supply to un-humanitarian “Palestinians”?
I mean, What would one expect from a self hating sickening hypocritical typical whining of the NPR reporting about a “humanitarian crisis” in Gaza? (Jan. 2008 at the height of Arab attacking rockets) What’s “humanitarian” about Hamas-tan? [as twisted NPR is, it first reports of what Hamas “says” that all fuel supply is shut down, only thereafter is quotes Israel’s declaration and harsh accusation that the “Palestinians” simply LIE, and that two thirds are still supplied, as if the world hasn’t seen enough of the minus zero credibility of “what Palestinian Pallywood says”], the cruel terrorist militant Islamic totalitarian regime? The oppression of non Muslims (Christians per se)? The investments of its limited resources into deadly Jihad, or the criminal use of its civilians to attack Israeli civilians via rockets and other cowardice methods?
Try and make a survey, a poll on how many are really aware of the targets by the Arabs, kids! how they fire exactly when and where the children go to kindergarten (Barrage of rockets hits Sderot as kids go to school), the fact that with God’s grace the damage is low is of course totally irrelevant to Arabs’ [usual] genocide attempts.
As it is rare for the NPR, it shockingly did interview some Israelis about the Hamas attack of Israeli civilians and how Israel should respond to it, as one Israeli has put it very real: “We Israelis have been setting us up in high moral standards we have a huge dilemma on how to respond”.
Yet, it is rather the Arab Palestinian “victimhood” that still manages to generate fans.
Amazing how the terrible unromantic cult of destruction is still not seen by some as what it is, a self inflicted cult, and that no one else can ever be blamed on whatever is going on there.
And just as you thought that the Fatah is much better, you hear that the “moderate” Abbas regime decided to allocate 40% of the billions of dollars in aid [the Europeans have pledged to give] to the Hamas terror “government”.
I have got news for the fake “humanitarian” singers – reporters in biased media: There’s nothing humanitarian about pointing fingers anywhere outside the “Palestinian” cruel leadership and those that elect them.

Palestinian” Muslims’ Special Crimes on Children (of both sides)

January 22, 2008

“Palestinian” Muslims’ Special Crimes on
Children (of both sides)
January 2008
GENOCIDE BOMBING
When the typical “Palestinian” suicide/genocide bomber at the Sbarro pizzeria programmed himself to be blown up exactly when the place is crowded with little children, toddlers, when the suicide/genocide bomber woman ate slowly in the Haifa restaurant, and carefully with cold blood (nothing of that “desperate” crap they have been telling you all along) positioned herself next to the table of kids, to perform her highest deed [as a (radical) Muslim woman] on earth in the ‘holy-Islamic-Jihad’ hellish “call”, these examples are to teach us who they are up against. It’s useless to argue with those that are helplessly brainwashed in the Arabist Goliath campaign as if the Islamic “Palestinian” has any “struggle”, the real “fight” they have is of course the innocent, the younger the better.
Nor is there any point in debating the Islamists, Arabists who try to make a point of “who has more casualties”, the fact that they fail in their attacks, thank God and due to relentless Israel’s army of defense, is totally irrelevant to the fact that their attempts are always to cause more and more of the unarmed civilian Israelis to be murdered in cold blood, or injured painfully, take for example those cruel and inhumane tactics of nail bombs with its multiple shrapnel that penetrate into the bones of the human body and cause unimaginable pain and suffering — exactly the intent, just another “freedom fighting” act of course.
QASSAM
The recent (2007 – 2008) Arab terror barrage of thousands of Qassam missiles on Israel’s unarmed innocent residents, is specifically aimed at children, it is done in a specific time and place, when the little kids go to kindergarten.
OWN KIDS
Then again, What can you expect from a death – cult that aims at its own kids, that uses its children as cannon fodders, that would do anything to bring about their deaths in order to play the “victim” on
international cameras.
Because no one talks about the high risking anti terror operations humane Israel is always taking against Islamic Jihadists and against racist Arab militants, Fattah, Hamas or Hezbollah, all those operations that were/are without any collateral damage but successful in precision acting on eliminating dangerous terror masters are totally ignored, but is always criticized when vicious Arab terrorists can finally happily point to some fallen kid or woman they grabbed to shoot, hide behind.
