The Racist Arab MK: Ahmed Tibi who loves to shout “racism”

Bogus rant & disinformation

An Arab MK politician criticized for so frequently throwing around ‘racism’ even ‘fascism’ flags on routine Israeli security action, in his campaign of bashing Israel, including spreading disinformation[1], he’s part of the scene of use of epithets like ‘fascist’ and ‘racist’ becoming so commonplace [2], some have put his propaganda unfounded ranting style while Israel’s a vital democracy with full equal rights, freedom for all, that,

…using inflammatory words like “racist” and “fascist.” As is his style, Tibi failed to back up his white-hot rhetoric with hard facts… The Arab Israeli lawmaker who accused the Jewish state of having ‘racist’ and ‘fascist’ policies enjoys rights and freedoms he wouldn’t find anywhere else in the Middle East. [3]

His “assertions” & claims of events are often refuted [4], he was Arafat’s top adviser, since Arafat systematically attacked the legitimacy of Israel as a “racist” he used Israeli-Arab politicians, like Ahmad Tibi in his/this campaign[5].

The racist

Tibi has been accused of being racist.[6],

In 1997 he said:

“Whoever sells his house to Jews, has sold his soul to Satan and has done a despicable act.” [7]

He’s accused of rewriting history of the Holocaust especially the part of the Mufti & his linkage with Hitler, reviving an old canard that the real Holocaust victims were “innocent” Arabs who paid the price for Europe’s crime[8]. In an anti-Israel bashing editorial in the Palestinian Al-Quds newspaper in July 2007, he said, [the entire area of] Palestine belongs to the Arabs only, not to the Jews[9][10]. Despite alarming worries over his association with the PLO and the idea of negating Israel’s existence – seeking its destruction, inciting to racism, the democratic Israeli court [so often favoring Arabs’ side] Ok’d his party’s inclusion[11], yet, this backstabber ungrateful Arab, only knows how to smear Israel, to cast it (and its genuine security concerns) in a bad light, on world stage[12].

The violent

He has a violent background of attacking security officials[13], has been accused of supporting terror, terrorists organizations[14].

Anti-Israel apartheid: The bigoted campaign to de-legitimize multi-racial & full democratic state of Israel by (lying) branding it as “apartheid” – originated at the bigoted Arab Muslim society

What drives this “belief” on a society where Arabs can vote and get to high office, where all colors & races have equal rights?

More troubling how one can not ´see´ the originators of this racist label – coming from the real Apartheid Arab-Muslim states where Jews are either not allowed in (like racist ethnic cleansed “Palestine” authority) & Christians are (real) second class citizens facing persecution, where the natives of the Arab countries (such as the indigenous: Berbers, Copts, Nubians,) or Africans (ranging from slavery & even genocide or at least plain racism, accepted discrimination, etc.), or Asians (especially those in the gulf states, many as slaves) or the Kurds have been/are victims of the Arab-Islamic supremacy & bigotry.

If this bigoted campaign to exclude Jews’ legitimacy to their historic homeland, to isolate Israel from all international bodies, or to tarnish all Jews, than what is Apartheid, racism really all about?

The poisonous myth of ‘Israeli apartheid’

Milk & Honey Press – Israel has had waves of immigration from all over the globe– from India, Africa, Europe, North America, … like the new boys in this story, from Russia, and Ethiopia. … Israel is a “multi-cultural” and “multi-racial” society. … very beautiful with open vistas and, in the mornings and evenings, glowing colors. …
http://www.milkandhoneypress.com/forteachers_curriculum.php

The Situation in Israel How much does modern-day Israeli society mirror this dismal record of legalized race-based repression and discrimination? One soon finds that even a superficial glance at the respective situations shows the comparison to be self-evidently absurd. In reality Israel, one of the most multi-racial societies in the world, goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure both tolerance and equality before the law. Its very founding Declaration of Independence specifically mandates complete equality of social and political rights to all inhabitants irrespective of religion, race, or gender. Jews and non-Jews in Israel attend the same public schools, vote and stand for election together, live side by side in the same residential areas, enjoy the same freedom of movement and job opportunities, make use in equal measure of public amenities such as beaches and parks and can marry or live together with one another as they choose.

Israel’s immigration policies encourage rather than impede the influx of diverse racial groups. Amongst other things, it has facilitated the immigration of some 70,000 Ethiopian Jews and plans to absorb 30,000 more. The vast majority of the Indian and Ethiopian Jewish communities today live in Israel, as do a majority of Jews from Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt and other North African and Middle East countries. All, including Circassian, Druze, Kurds, Armenians, Beduin, and other non-Jewish citizens of the Jewish State, enjoy equal rights.

What kind of ‘Apartheid State’ actively seeks to increase its black population (and I don’t mean by importing slaves, either)? As Israeli academic Alex Yacobson points out, there has never been even a Western majority community that has been as willing to accept non-western immigrants to the extent that Israel has. Given that Israel has absorbed nearly a million Jews from Arab countries—who in terms of their ethnicity are essentially Arabs of the Jewish faith—one sees further that Israel has been the most generous of countries with regard to Arab immigration worldwide.1 All this has taken place under the framework of the supposedly ‘racist’ Zionist ideology.

While a measure of discrimination still exists in certain areas, this is in no way comparable to the kind of oppression that existed in South Africa. In any case this is being constantly confronted and eroded through the Israeli courts, in the Knesset, and by both Jewish and Arab NGOs. To compare the inequalities within Israel to those experienced by non-whites in South Africa both unjustly exaggerates Israel’s faults and subtly belittles the iniquities of apartheid. As such, it is a cynical ploy to piggyback on the suffering of others for propaganda purposes.

…Racist attitudes, however, are found to some degree in all countries. The real question that has to be asked is whether that racism is legally sanctioned. That is certainly not the case in Israel.
In apartheid South Africa, by contrast, racism was not merely legally sanctioned but indeed was mandatory. Even whites opposed to such racist policies had no choice but to comply with them. Courts had to enforce apartheid legislation, no matter what the personal feelings of the judges might have been, universities had no choice but to base their admissions policies on racial criteria and businesses could not employ qualified blacks in senior positions.

The War on the War on Islamic terror – False racialization of fear of terror

A writer elaborates on: Antisemitism, Islamophobia and Anti-Arabism: The False Link [1], In the wake of 9/11, opponents of profiling have shifted away from arguing against it because it is “racist”, but experts argue that Racial profiling: A matter of survival [2], the Arab world and some of the Arabists (inside and outside Israel) have categorized many Israelis’ genuine concern for their saftey and saftey of their children as “racism”. [3], at the UN’s Durban 2 conference, in on going major attempt to categorize ‘counter-terrorism’ as ‘Islamophobia’, Pakistan’s Islamic group wanted to include even more language to equate counter-terrorism with racism. Pakistan, Algeria, and Iran also wanted the words, “Islamophobia” and “anti-Arabism” to remain in the document. [4]

In democratic Israel, Arabs, Muslims are often first class citizens over Jews

Israeli Arabs Muslims, often First class citizens above Jews – preferential treatment for Arabs over Jews

Introduction: Critics point out to the reversed unevenness, some have summed it up in one phrase: “If Arabs Can Live in Jewish Neighborhoods, Why Can’t Jews Live in Arab Neighborhoods?” [1], In fact, many have raised the issue of Arabs not only being equal citizens as Jews in Israel, but often as first class citizens, Arabs, Muslims first class citizens in Israel whereas Israeli Jews are second class citizens [2] [3]

Land issues: an example: Israeli Police evict Jews from Jewish-owned Hebron home as applauding Palestinian Arabs looked on [4], there are complaints of Jews who proclaim that they are sick and tired of being second-class citizens, while all Arabs in Judea and Samaria are treated like first-class citizens. [5], in another case An Israeli Supreme Court ruling did not deny that the land was Jewish-owned, but ordered the Jews to be moved out. [6] In another case, a lawyer for Y. Herskovitz, owner of property in Jerusalem, said his client will sue Jerusalem police for failing to execute court orders to evict Arab squatters from his property. [7]

In court (broader issues), the Israelis routinely decide in favor of the Palestinians against their own government, applauded by U.S. Justice Brennan,[8] preferential treatments to Israeli Arabs, Palestinian-Arabs include steps on the expense of security, such as the ‘Democracy in action’ [9], Israel’s Supreme Court took up the grievances of Palestinians and required the government to move the fence in the area near Jerusalem to make things easier for the Palestinians [10] Even the NYTimes acknowledges that at least [11] periodically, Israeli courts rule in favor of Palestinians (instead of security/government officials).

Voting: the Arab minority are full citizens who enjoy equal rights despite not being required to serve in Israel’s army . [12] and decry: Israel is the only country in the world that endows a community of its citizens with full voting rights on both local and national levels without also requiring them to serve in the army, adding that Israeli Arabs even refuse the alternative National Service. They even refuse a national service in their own communities and exercise intimidation against members of their community that raise the subject. [13]

Employment: Israel has enacted affirmative action policies to help its minority citizens achieve full social and economic equality. [14] [15], in an example: if an Arab candidate received the same number of points as the Jewish candidate, the Arab doctor was preferable, in keeping with the policy of affirmative action in government ministries. [16]

In academia: a professor has written about Israel’s “affirmative action”, quotas and preferences for Arabs [17] Israeli universities… instituting programs that discriminate in favor of Arabs and against Jews [18] and that Israel already has a system in place whereby Jews are often treated as second-class citizens. [19]

Checkpoints: From May 2009, All Israeli citizens – including Jews – must now show their ID cards at the large Tarkumiyeh checkpoint, at the same time, life is being made easier for Arabs in the region – despite the several murders that have been perpetrated by Arabs. The IDF explained that the decision was made to “reward” the Arabs for not rioting or attacking during the recent Israeli offensive in Gaza. [20]

Media freedom: while the Arabs have unlimited freedom of broadcast [21] and the Hebrew radio stations like Kol Yisrael and Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) systematically broadcast from an Arab point of view, yet the Arutz Sheva radio station, often called “Free Israel Radio” (because it is the only independent news network in the Middle East) [22], has seen restricting steps from the Israeli government. [23] [24]

Access to holy sites, often Israeli police closes the Temple Mount to non-Muslims Like: Temple Mount shut to non-Muslims on election eve – was closed to Jews today in response to Muslim threats of violence [25] and on more occasions. [26]

Muslim Palestinians murder each other and only Israel saves them – Israel provides sanctuary for fleeing Palestinians from their own ‘un-civil war ‘ [Arab on Arab crime]

August 6, 2008

Muslim Palestinians murder each other and only Israel saves them – Israel provides sanctuary for fleeing Palestinians from their own ‘un-civil war ‘ [Arab on Arab crime]

Israel provides sanctuary for fleeing Palestinians
THE international Left and our own flag-waving supporters of Hamas, Hezbollah and every other Palestinian terror organisation, look pretty stupid today as Israel provides sanctuary for Palestinians fleeing home-grown terror directed against each other.

The bloody infighting between rival terrorist gangs has long been a feature of the fractured Arab bloc but the reality that Israel does provide the only island of security in the middle of the carnage has never been so starkly illustrated. More than 180 members of the Hiles (or Hilles) clan which is allied to the former Fatah government have been sheltered by Israel in an astonishing act of mercy as they fled killers from the radical Islamic resistance movement Hamas. Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak made the decision to allow the young men to enter Israel on humanitarian grounds after receiving a plea for help from Palestinian President and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and the Egyptian Government.

Those fleeing Hamas accused the group of attempting to wipe out all supporters of Fatah from the Gaza Strip in an act of “political cleansing”. Mohammed Darawshe, a director of the Abraham Fund which works toward increasing opportunities for co-existence and equality between Arabs and Jews in Israel, said the street slaughter which has left at least nine – including a six-year-old girl – dead, was one of the blackest pages in Palestinian history. “When you have Palestinians being forced to flee by other Palestinians, it is a tragedy,” he said. “This is the behaviour of a brutal dictatorship, not a political party working in the interests of its people.”

On the border, Israeli guards prepared stretchers to carry wounded Palestinian refugees as ambulances took more than 100 wounded to hospital. Hamas gunmen fired upon those fleeing, wounding at least 22, as the Israelis opened their border gates. Fatah, the power-base of the late and unlamented corrupt leader, and father of international terrorism, Yasser Arafat, lost control of the Gaza Strip to Hamas after a series of bloody battles a year ago. Hamas has claimed that the Hiles clan has worked in concert with Fatah, and that members may have been responsible for an explosion last week that killed five men and the young girl. Academic from Hebrew University Gabriel Motzkin said the latest violence had ended any hope of success in the current round of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. “It is beyond doubt that there are now two separate Palestinian territories, so who does Israel deal with? Mahmoud Abbas does not speak for Palestinians in Gaza. And Hamas is not interested in any negotiations with Israel at all.

This civil war makes a permanent solution impossible to negotiate.” The Palestinian versus Palestinian battle is, in fact, a microcosm of the central issue in the long-running Middle East cancer. Ever since the Arab nations surrounding Israel encouraged Palestinians to flee the nascent state of Israel 60 years ago, they have refused to permit them to settle and integrate into their populations, preferring to see a United Nations-supported permanent “refugee” state of Palestine fester on the Israel border and remain a canker in international relations. While Israel has maintained a non-discrimination policy toward Arabs and people of all faiths within its borders, the Arab nations have been responsible for persecuting Christians, Jews and others who do not follow Islam. Coptic Christians are under enormous pressure in Egypt, Christians are increasingly coming under fire in Iraq, and Saudi Arabia maintains its laws prohibiting the distribution of the Bible.

The contrast with Israel’s tolerant approach to human rights could not be greater. The Palestinian Authority continues to pump out its virulent anti-Semitic messages and even stoops to incorporating instructions in hatred in its children’s programming, with vicious slurs against Jews and Israelis tailored for the young audience through the use of cartoon figures. The Palestinian Authority will attempt to block the sight of Palestinians seeking and finding refuge in Israel from fellow Palestinians but news will filter through via the internet and international broadcasts. It will create confusion in the minds of many who have been taught since birth that Israel was the cause of the Palestinians’ woes, not their salvation.

The fact that mercy lies on one side of the border and not the other will be a hard lesson to swallow for Palestinians fed on a steady diet of anti-Semitic propaganda. But it is timely, as research shows there is a rise in anti-Semitism across much of Europe and the US. Although the Israeli sanctuary may only be temporary, and though the Gazans may eventually be asked to resettle in Egypt or even in Ramallah on the West Bank, there is the possibility that they may have learned a simple lesson. That they have been lied to about Israeli intentions toward Palestinians is obvious, but whether they will have also learned that their unconditional sanctuary came courtesy from those they were taught were their most bitter enemies, is another.
