The totally unreliable ‘The Guardian’

February 16, 2012

The Guardian is not just ‘left’ like the BBC. But on the very extreme. Especially when it comes to US and Israel it has been known to be very radical and totally unreliable.

 • ANTI-ZIONIST AND ANTISEMITIC DISCOURSE ON THE GUARDIAN’S COMMENT IS FREE WEBSITE

By Hadar Sela June 7, 2010 […] The result of the Guardian’s method of moderation is two-fold. Not only does it put the onus for the reporting of antisemitic comments and the demand for their deletion via the ‘report abuse’ function upon those members of the general public who consider it to be their voluntary task to monitor CiF (a resource upon which the Guardian openly admits it relies), it also means that racist hate speech for example comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa or the Nazi regime is not infrequently left standing on the CiF site. Moreover, those offensive comments that are deleted often take an unacceptable amount of time to disappear and are hence read by many visitors to the site before they do.[1]

 • UK Jewish groups slam ‘Guardian’ for using Hamas propaganda against Israel

Jerusalem Post – Mar 25, 2009 In an article in Tuesday’s Guardian, entitled ‘Guardian’ investigation uncovers evidence of alleged Israeli war crimes..

“This is the newspaper that reported the massacre at Jenin, which turned out to be false, and said also that Israel was high in an international league table for its murder of journalists and then failed to properly correct this patent falsehood,” said Jonathan Hoffman, co-vice chairman of the Zionist Federation of the UK. “It is the paper that tolerates anti-Semitic content in its blog ‘Comment Is Free,’ and indeed encourages it by its choice of contributors.”[2]

Washington’s fingerprints are all over the chaos that has hit Palestinians and the last thing they need now is an envoy called Blair. Wait a minute. That piece came out of The Guardian newspaper in Britain. PressTV is in good company. [3]

During his lifetime King witnessed the birth of Israel and the continuing struggle to build a nation. He consistently reiterated his stand on the Israel- Arab conflict, stating “Israel’s right to exist as a state in security is uncontestable.” It was no accident that King emphasized “security” in his statements on the Middle East.

On March 25, 1968, less than two weeks before his tragic death, he spoke out with clarity and directness stating, “peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. During an appearance at Harvard University shortly before his death, a student stood up and asked King to address himself to the issue of Zionism. The question was clearly hostile. King responded, “When people criticize Zionists they mean Jews, you are talking anti-Semitism.” King taught us many lessons. Socialism of fools: the left, the Jews & Israel – Page 7 – Seymour Martin Lipset – Anti-Defamation League of Bnai Brith, 1969 – 32 pages

“The Socialism of Fools” Shortly before he was assassinated, Martin Luther King, Jr. was in Boston on a fund-raising mission, and I had the good fortune to attend a dinner which was given for him in Cambridge.

This was an experience which was at once fascinating and moving: one witnessed Dr. King in action in a way one never got to see in public. He wanted to find what the Negro students at Harvard and other parts of the Boston area were thinking about various issues, and he very subtly cross-examined them for well over an hour-ami a half. He asked questions, and said very little himself. One of the young men present happened to make some remark against the Zionists. Dr. King snapped at him and said, “Don’t talk like that! When people criticise Zionists, they mean Jews.

Op-Ed: Thoughts for Martin Luther King Day
Published: Sunday, January 15, 2012 10:00 AM

What would Martin Luther King dream about today?

… During his lifetime King witnessed the birth of Israel and the continuing struggle to build a nation. He consistently reiterated his stand on the Israel- Arab conflict, stating “Israel’s right to exist as a state in security is uncontestable.” It was no accident that King emphasized “security” in his statements on the Middle East.

On March 25, 1968, less than two weeks before his tragic assassination, he spoke out with clarity and directness stating, “…peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality.”

King also once delared, “I solemnly pledge to do my utmost to uphold the fair name of the Jews — because bigotry in any form is an affront to us all.”

During an appearance at Harvard University shortly before his death, a student stood up and asked King to address himself to the issue of Zionism. The question was clearly hostile. King responded, “When people criticize Zionists they mean Jews, you are talking anti-Semitism.”

Unfortunately, King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech would not require too much alteration if given today in many parts of the world, but it would also be a dream about bringing to an end anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism.

Arab Spring may be good for Israel after all

Arab Spring may be good for Israel after all – Ha’aretz – July 1, 2011

By Amos Harel

Arab Spring may be good for Israel after all
Even Arab analysts who witnessed the changes in the region up close recognize that forecasting the future is futile. But that doesn’t mean they don’t see recent events as a cause for elation… as Aluf Benn described in these pages a week ago: a weakening of the radical-Shi’ite axis if the Syrian regime is overthrown, Turkey distancing itself from Iran and Syria, and a continuation of Israel’s decent relations with Egypt.

Hamas leader condemns death of ‘holy warrior’ bin Laden

Hamas leader condemns death of ‘holy warrior’ bin Laden

A Hamas’ leader in the Gaza Strip condemned the U.S. operation that killed Osama bin Laden, calling it part of larger policy based on “the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood.”

“We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior,” said Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, according to the official website of armed wing of the Palestinian terrorist group.

“We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs,” he added.

“We regard this as a continuation of the American policy based on oppression and the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood.”

Hamas recently signed an Egyptian-brokered reconciliation agreement with Fatah that would end four years of divided Palestinian rule and create a unity government in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The recent “cooperation” between Hamas-Fatah, only reaffirms that there is no such a thing as a “moderate” Muslim Palestinian.
These are the same wondeful [cult of] “human beings” that danced in the streets on 911, in joy:

Turmoil in oppressive totalitarian Apartheid ‘Arab world’

Turmoil in oppressive totalitarian Apartheid ‘Arab world’

If the uprising will lead to more democracy, ledd apartheid, less Arab racism, less apartheid (against non-Arabs or agaisnt non-pure-Arabs), “unifiying the Arab world only by pseudo blaming the west and Zionists for its own fault” and less totalitarianism and less anti-semitism, then, that’s a good thing.
However if radical Islam will abuse this ‘breach’ of security to further its ‘Islamic domination’ goal, than, that world sees an even more bleak future. Especially in face of Islamic Republic of Irtan that loves to stir rouble all over the world especially in the M.E. and gained some succcess -recently- in Lebanon cespite anti-Hezbollah pro-freedom protests there

US Congress records in 1939 – The [at least] 150,000 Arab immigrants into [almost] ‘vacant’ Palestine

January 6, 2011

The following is a remarkable speech given in 1939 by John William McCormack (1891 – 1980) of Massachusetts, Representative to the House, on a ‘Jewish Homeland’ in Palestine. Protesting harshly the British (White Papers) restriction on Jewish immigration while Arab immigration is allowed to flow. Citing the great approval by 5 presidents and an array of high officials all praising the great achievement done by the Jews in Palestine, uplifting and up-building the land. He notices the Arab immigration of at least 150,000 (equal to that of the Jews’) from neighboring countries as well as an overall rise in Arab population, all due to Jews’ work in the “vacant land” of Palestine, that all of a sudden made it all attractive.

The Jewish Homeland and the Palestine Mandate

EXTENSION OF REMARKS Of HON. JOHN W. McCORMACK
OF
MASSACHUSETTS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, July 6, 1939

Mr. McCORMACK. Mr. Speaker, “the association of the Jewish people with Palestine dates back over 4000 years. During all that time Jews have resided almost continuously in Palestine, having established Jewish commonwealths at two different periods.

The second Jewish commonwealth was destroyed by the Romans under Titus in the year AD 70.

[…]

…ward to is that at the end of 5 years all Jewish immigration will be stopped,… When the Balfour declaration was issued, it was not intended to establish another ghetto in Palestine. The Jewish population of Palestine has grown from 55000 in 1918 to its present figure of 450000. The Arab population has risen from 400000 in 1920 to about 950000, an increase of over 50 percent in 17 years. Under Turkish rule the population was almost stationary.

From all this it follows that since the Jewish population will not be allowed to increase by more than 75000, and since there will be no restriction placed upon Arab immigration, the Jewish National Home will soon be swamped by the surrounding non- Jewish population, and Jews will properly feel that they have been led into a trap by promises that they would be able to build up a commonwealth… This new plan to arbitrarily limit immigration will slow up the development of the country. With the increase of population in Palestine there has been a corresponding increase of wealth and new and increased possibilities for more…

The government at that time rejected this report, and time has shown that this rejection was correct, as 150000 Jews and an equal number of Arabs have entered the country since that time, and there are still large stretches of vacant land in the country capable of development and settlement by large population.

The establishment of the Jewish National Home has been endorsed by the 52 nations which approved the mandate. They acted after long and careful study. The American Congress unanimously adopted the Lodge-Fish resolution after an extended hearing before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Five Presidents of the United States have spoken in unmistakenly glowing terms of the accomplishments of Jewish Palestine. American legislatures, including my own State of Massachusetts, have adopted resolutions favoring the reconstitution of the icans from all walks of life have expressed their approval of the work that Jews have done in Palestine toward the upbuilding of the Jewish homeland. All these responsible nations, high government officials, legislative bodies, and distinguished personalities have acted with great deliberation. It is impossible to believe that such a distinguished company can all be wrong. … Today a new democracy is growing up in the Jewish homeland in Palestine, founded upon these same principles.

‘A logical feeling towards: ISRAEL VS BIGOTED ARAB ISLAMIC GENOCIDE PLAN’

So much for flotilla and other Islamic and racist-Arab propaganda constant tired actions to cast Israel’s fight for survival in a negative light, with baseless bombastic propaganda terminology of ‘racist/apartheid/blah-blah.’

Mr. Obama! Too little too late!

July 6, 2010

Mr. Obama, Too little too late!

If you saw (today, July-6-2010) Obama forcing himself to say that he is in good terms (I say “he,” as the US always is in that ‘special bond’, it's HE who has a problem) with Israel (albeit not these words exactly).

As if he doesn't know that people pick-up body language.

Compare his meeting w/ Netanyahu with his meeting with Arab leaders, oh boy, that's where he feels right at home, in fact, one of the most comfortable pictures of him, were exactly those, not so much being with his American countrymen, in one he even "annulled" himself entirely and bringing down US honor with it (bow to the Arab "king"). It says almost everything, WHERE a US president feels "at home." So now, at his low points when his popularity are "dangerously" scarce he's putting up a show?
Well, Mr. Obama, we won't forget that easy…

 • How you treated Mr. Netanyahu a few months ago, leaving him to dry in the sun because YOUR personal ego was offended at your Byden mission.
 • What on earth is your problem with houses in Jerusalem, since when was that historic Jewish capital the Arabs'? As if the M.E. depends on housing projects to Jewish returnees and not by arming, violence, hate-cult by Islamo-Arabs…
 • Your overall pro-Arabist approach, where your criticism of Palestinian-Arabs are only done after criticizing Israel as a fake balancing show.
 • Nor would we forget how you tried to spin the reporter asking you about your prejudgment 'blame Israel first'? at your "spontaneous" reaction after the Jihadi-Flotilla was interfered by the Israelis.
 • Above all, your most dangerous approach vis-a-vis Iran.

Weiss’ story, as the others, are voiced by Palin, so her role of narrator makes it seem like we get more Palin that we actually do. Slaughter the Jews call ‘misunderstood’
BY JONNY PAUL, JPOST CORRESPONDENT 15/02/2010 02:07

…LONDON – The Oxford student who shouted “slaughter the Jews” in Arabic at Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon during his talk at the university last week says his remark was misunderstood.

Noor Rashid… claimed he used a classical Arabic chant “Khaybar ya Yahod”…

[…] Rashid – who on his Facebook page is a “fan” of Abdul Rahman al-Sudais – the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca – and veteran anti-Israel activist British MP George Galloway – claimed in the article that “Jew” and “Israel” were interchangeable terms and that he had been misunderstood.

Sudais has publicly prayed to God to “terminate” the Jews, and as a result has been barred from conferences in America, and been refused entry to Canada. In 2002…
